ABOUT THE MOVIE:
A young New York socialite becomes interested in a young man who has moved into her apartment building, but her past threatens to get in the way.
IDEA:
In this design I opted for a studio quality black-and-white photo of Audrey Hepburn to use as the focal point, giving the poster a fashionable aesthetic. The shadows on the photo are soft for added elegance. The large white negative space allows the eye to move clearly through the poster.
The star of the film is Audrey Hepburn, and her facial expression and pose in the photo hint at the film's narrative of a girl going through life, discovering which version of herself the world allows her to be and which version of her makes her happy.
Using a gold effect in the title reinforces the elegance of the design and leads it towards the Oscar gold. The silhouette of the cat in the lower part playing with the film's rating shows us that it is a lighter and a little bit comical film.
